6. When can I get a work license?
If the separate DMV administrative suspension is not avoided by hiring a lawyer and winning that separate DMV case, then the one-year suspension resulting from the DMV case, and the two-year suspension from a second DUI conviction, can typically be converted into a restricted Class C "work" license following one year. If new laws are applicable to certain second and third DUI convictions, an ignition interlock restricted license may be possible after a 90-day or six-month suspension if certain tasks are accomplished. Laws are changing so consult with a Mendocino County DUI attorney immediately following a DUI arrest regarding your individual circumstances.
